Why the mass downvote for asking why HCL people post on the SF forums if they dont work here anymore. How is that controversial? This forum is separated by company for a reason, SF has nothing to do with HCL tech support.

Also to those who think an HCL discussion doesn't belong here: HCL's focus for "year 2" as they call it focuses on profit for HCL making sure they don't violate terms terms of the SF contract. SF no longer has any say in how they do that and will simply get what they get from here on out.

You've already been cautioned IEOM - management on both sides seem to think putting warm bodies in chairs on the other side of the world will be just fine, especially after a few knowledge transfer sessions from the engineers with decades of experience. I'm sure we'll hear be hearing all the success stories next year at this time...

To the person saying rebadgers should not post here, who do you think is going to do all the work when hcl moves them to different accounts? Buckle up ieom, and enjoy the customer service.

So today was pretty much a nothing-burger. Oh, they started by saying all the rumors leading up to the first town hall were completely false. Then they proceeded to lay out in very carefully scripted terms the stuff that coincidentally was exactly what those completely false rumors were back in September.

They don't know what they're doing and the one positive thing is they admit it...kind of. The not-so-positive side is they keep pressing on in the same direction and we're getting strung along. We won't really won't know for a while, likely at the last minute. Anything can change between now and then too.

This whole year's been a mess for those who had to go through it and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better over the next few months.

Well they begged for us to fill out the survey to HELP THEM on who’s staying and leaving. We got to see all the offshore locations/training our replacement timeline! After the last town hall we lost a lot of people let’s see how many more leave after this one. What a joke

I doubt the "experts" will ask the people who really know. After all, HCL didn't even know about the engineering work they were assuming until the middle of February. This went live on March 1st. How SF didn't make sure HCL knew exactly what they were getting makes about no sense. How HCL didn't know makes even less.

All the problems with all of this stem from management on both sides making decisions without talking to the people who knew. Even after they found out the hard way, they still press on as if they just took on call centers and ticket handling queue watchers.

Now they want to know what things need to stay in the US. They are the experts(management). The rebadgers should let them figure it out.

As one of the 849 original re-badgers, I can confirm the accounts presented here are accurate. We were all given several doses of hope-ium when this all started and somewhat expected longer-term employment. Some of us grew suspicious early on because HCL hired over 800 additional people, nearly all offshore. There was even one lame excuse that "SF didn't have enough people to do the work and that's why we had to hire so many" LOL.

However, by the six-month mark, we were basically told we should have known this was the plan all along. The plan being moving a majority of work off-shore by next march...because the account had to become profitable...except we didn't know that until we heard from SF people that the ratio was 75/25. We started asking questions and that led up to the first town hall.

We'll have to see what this next one brings but there's only a few months left. People are fed up and have caught on to this whole year being nothing more than a severance package where we train our replacements.

@3ghc she has a house here, but the majority of her time is, in fact, spent in Florida.

That's right, ET folks. "Do as I say, not as I do". She can live wherever she wants, you have to be within radius of a hub.

Microsoft, Ford, CISCO, Amazon, Google,IBM, American Express,Dell, HP, AT&T are the largest “outsources” in the U.S. Your downfall comment is uniformed and boldly wrong, as usual.

Outsourcing jobs to India has been the downfall of every company that has done it. Buh-bye SF...LOSERS

The decision to off shore should have been made years ago. SF IT is the Amish of the technical world. Congrats to Petit and Fawad for making the right call, albeit a little late….

@2oem

HCL (Hindustan Computers Limited) is the India-based dumpster that Rash-ley Petit yeeted 850 of your (now former) state farm colleagues to so her and Lord Farqwad could save their exec bonus.

HCL promised those 850 people a long term career with minimal changes, and after 6 months pulled the rug out and told everyone their jobs will be offshored.

At a point I do not care anymore. Forming my exit strategy as we speak.
State Farm has become like every other soulless corp, where execs think they are the reason the company succeeds, giving themselves huge bonuses and perks.
They are on the corporate jets, ignoring the sh-t show they created.

No, I don’t know what HCL is. State Farm associates, whether agents or employees, receive different company news feeds. In theory we’ll receive information that relates to our roles and activities.

I hope leadership understands we are all paying attention to this, regardless of which department we are in.

If they really treat the employees poorly and do what is stated above?? Watch out. People will start looking for employment elsewhere.

Good neighbors or bad neighbors??

That's the problem, management expects everyone to fall in line. I still remember the first push by Ashley petit to push everyone to go back to the office and she started with "let's clap and hear everyone that wants to return to the office" it all went downhill from there when things were open for question. It got so bad admins deleted posts on yammer. Bottom line this is not a family its a job and you will get tossed when you are no longer needed

I think we've already discussed at length what's coming.

70% of roles will be shifted offshore (support center, 2nd level, and most BAU work)

The 30% that stay will mostly be allocated to project work, with their "end date" being closer to the end of the project.

Desired state is 5-10% retention of rebadged by EOY 2025. Rebadges are too expensive for them to retain long term.

You don’t know what HCL is? HCL is the company SF choose to take over IT work. Hoping you won’t find out as some of us have. It’s been an awful experience, the “opportunity” that over 800 of us were shifted too (offshore work) is an absolute mess. People leaving left and right. Directors/engineers are leaving with no one to do the work . HCL can’t replace what SF has lost. They think they can offshore 3rd level work, they have to hire other 3rd party workers and even then the talent just isn’t there.

A lot of us here don’t even know what HCL is. Seriously. We’re not “all in this together” anymore.
