Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Today I Got An Email Asking for 10 ex-USAA Java Developers...

They are looking for senior developers, and this now marks the 5th such email I have received where the recruiters were seeking ex-USAA senior developers.

My message to USAA is this: when you sc--w over your own employees and steal from them, when you show profound ignorance by sh!tting in your own bed and having the arrogance to think your stench smells like perfume, you deserve all that you will get.

I was laid off this year. The day after I announced on LinkedIn that I accepted a new position I was contacted by a recruiter asking me if I wanted to come back. I’m now with a company that values and protects the health and safety of their employees so much that it is the number one priority. Everyone is genuinely happy. Do I want to come back? Not a chance.

Exactly!

Their "tactics" are now common knowledge, and yes, techies with longevity in the field do share insights and opinions. Especially when they have been screwed over.

Even before all of this started, it was apparent that USAA has very poor leadership (inability to use resources correctly; managers who do ... well, what exactly?!?!!; turn left, no right, no ... stand still while we think; ugh!) and no vision. Seniors would not waste their careers on this place.

People don't want to work there now especially ex employees, imagine what is going to happen when the job market actually picks up again.
