Overall how do you guys feel about everything thats going on? Im not sure which states are impacted more than others. I work in NY and i dont know much about how impacted NY was/is but the atmosphere feels tense, I work remotely but I can still feel how very off-putting things seem to be functioning. I wont lie its kind of nerve-wrecking and there really hasnt been much support from the higher ups. From what I have heard- supervisors and managers are being overworked tremendously. How are you guys doing and feeling? any support you have been recieving? Also, is it just me or does HR kind of su-k? Ive had exp with HR before this job, and the way HR works in this company is odd, not used to it.

Hugs to "cried all day"
I cried all day today! Cannot focus, worried about everything!
This is more fun than watching the Cabal fall….. oh, wait a minute! I digress…
I’m toasty sitting next to this bonfire of a trainwreck . I make sure to keep my coffee cup full. It’s entertaining at this point.
Can’t wait for tomorrow’s Town Hall.
Spending all the money buying back company stocks to line their pockets - May not be enough to cover severance. Priority is not the laid off workers.
"Is anyone else worried about severance pay out. If you look at your generic severance letter it states “ as soon as it becomes administratively feasible after the date your release becomes final the company will pay your severance pay” dumping us out right before Christmas, how many think if we sign the letter Saturday 12/9, it will pay out before Christmas or even the end of the year?”
Verbiage is everything. I would have this looked at by an attorney before you sign. Anything that has vague information means they are trying to cover their a-s. Meaning if they don't give you a definitive date - such as severance will paid x amount of days from signature date then they most definitely are trying to cover their a-s "in case of". This way if you don't see your money for 2 weeks - 3 weeks - 6 weeks they can refer to this little gem of a statement in the agreement you signed and not too much you will be able to do about it.

I have been with Health Net for nearly 21 years and was laid off in August. It is nearly the end of the month and I have yet to receive anything in regards to a severance. I know that California was hit pretty hard by those 2,000 layouts however I'm not sure if those of us who got laid off in August were part of the that were announced in October. My emotions are extreme anger and frustration because of the fact that I have been fighting to try and get my final release paperwork and my severance paperwork. Keep getting the runaround or they keep asking me the same d-mb questions such as, have you checked your email? Or the best one, have you checked your spam folder?
@1nym+1pautD3V Your director got to pick? I was just given a list of the positions that were eliminated. Seemed pretty random to me because they included high performers. I'm certain diversity and gender were taken into account.
I feel awesome
I am feeling FREE. I know why the caged bird cries. I can’t wait to be out of here. Just give me my severance and I’m OUT!
I'm remote in the NY market as well, but was affected by the lay-off. I am ANGRY at how it all went down, and how I'm expected to be productive and obedient until 12/1 in order to get my promised severance (like dangling a carrot in front of me). I busted my a-s for this place for MANY years and was kicked to the curb, all so my director could keep his personal friends on my team (and most of these people haven't made a single positive contribution to the team in the last 3 years). It is torture to have to continue to work with these people, who now refuse to even msg/talk to you or ask for your opinion in project meetings, all bc they're afraid of catching the "unemployment plague". Wish they would have just cut me loose when they laid me off on 10/2 (but pay me out til 12/1 with the additional severance, like decent human beings). They enjoy continuing to control and humiliate me while they still can. Glad to be rid of them soon, counting down the days til FREEDOM!
I’m feeling overwhelmed, over-worked, mentally exhausted, pi---d off, let down, insecure, used, unmotivated and so much more and I did not get the new this round! Everyone is being overworked, not just those in PL and up positions. I’ve never had to encounter HR so cannot speak on that. I will say I was so happy to be recruited for this company with high hopes of growth and it’s all gone to sh-t now realizing I’m just a CN number and all I want to do is make a difference, but clearly that’s not what this company is about.
HR is a fu--ing joke
