As compelling as it is to believe these numbers, and how likely they could be given our financial state - I believe a layoff of this size would require 30 days public notice in addition to the 30 days pay they give after the layoff - WARN is 60 days. I have not heard a notice - even after the earnings call - so I'm inclined to believe these numbers were made up.
It does still seam likely there will be a layoff 11/13 - just not that big.
This site is mildly useful and sometimes entertaining, but there also appears to be a few sad and pathetic individuals who come here to entertain themselves by inciting people.

The attrition is so high that they won't have to do a large layoff. They are simply waiting for people to quit.
At this round, it seems it is quieter than previous one. Expect to be a small number or limited to some specific sites only. Anybody has info.?
