Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

5 day RTO begins Jan 2, 2024

That’s right team magenta! The plandemic is over. You will be in the physical workplace January 2nd or you will be in the unemployment.

This is verified and confirmed.

I heard the same thing from some big boned senior lady at the frisco office. She is really old like 50 so she should know.

I heard Thursday full time RTO is verified for January. I’m shopping for daycare now before everyone else does

I'm sorry but I'm not going to allow white privilege to determine where I work and what I do at work. RTO is clearly racist as the whites get paid more and can afford to live close to the office.

I'm sorry but TMO is not going to tell me where to work. Just because they give me a paycheck and benefits does not give them the right to tell me what to do and where to do it.

I had been coming in for 5 days a week since the office was reopened. Got laid off. I hope they fire you whiners that don't want to go back into the workplace. That's right fired. No severance, no garden leave, Just out on your backside.

Yeah right…they’re having a hard enough time to get people in 3 days. 5 days a week in office is highly unrealistic and unnecessary.

My leadership team was preparing us for this over a year ago. Pretty sure they always planned for it. Just a matter of when to execute. As some have mentioned probably waiting for other large tech companies to follow suit.

This blog is for rumors and gossip. If you’re looking for confirmation read Bloomberg or CNN or MSNBC.

Based on all the RTO talk in the news this week OP is probably correct. Can someone in HR verify?

verified and confirmed by who?

That isn't going to happen unless/until Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. does it first. T-Mobile has 100% been following their lead since the start of COVID.

They replaced hotel cubes in frisco with regular workstations so I would guess OP is probably correct.

Not surprised. A good majority of the last round of layoffs in the TSD&O organization were targeted at remote employees.
