History shows past gaming revenge cameoed right after a new contract towards employees. Workers are well aware of this but just keep on moving forward creating a safe, peaceful, productive work environment. Typically, after about 6mo. some companies and union employees get back to regular business as usual , no gaming by companies involved. Til next contract expires.

company's that do these things only strengthen the reason to be union. those 35 or so will likely become teamster leaders one day because of the outrageous close call of losing their jobs at Christmas. plus it puts flight to thousands of others who see this on the news as reason to be a union only employee.

many are not aware u.p.s. who makes most of their income off Christmas does not allow their employees to even decorate the buildings or trucks for Christmas or Hanukkah . says a lot for them.

Apparently these specialists and admins have now been hired back. This is likely to avert a strike. Remains to be seen if these positions will remain, continue to exist as union jobs, or are 'transformed', e.g., eliminated and moved outside of the US.

The attempt by UPS specialist to unionize is too little too late as the jobs are now likely to be outsourced or sent over seas anyway. These were never management positions to begin with and were simply used by the company to prevent some roles from having union protections. Unfortunately these people learned the hard way the UPS can not be trusted.
