I don't expect to change anyone's mind on a layoff chat board, but INTC has a bright future. The technology is aggressive and will soon be back to cutting edge, and costs are down which will lead to improved margins. Reminder, even IBM recovered from a supposed spiral, but INTC is much better situated, with a great strategy.
Intel was built up by sands on the beach and will be washed out to dust into ocean soon than that.
Intels core products are completely replaceable.

Once you see Intel market shares loss crazy then it is done. It is still control over half of total market shares but not too long with current speed of technology advancements and pressures from many more strong competitors with a lot of capitals now.
It's a completely valid and legitimate question now.

I agree with first reply…. Kodak is technically still around, just an extremely faded photo of its former glory… Intel will be the same… down, not out… gutted, but still making something…
