Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Will Intel be around in 5 years?

Seriously! Competitors are absolutely eating Intel’s lunch.

I don't expect to change anyone's mind on a layoff chat board, but INTC has a bright future. The technology is aggressive and will soon be back to cutting edge, and costs are down which will lead to improved margins. Reminder, even IBM recovered from a supposed spiral, but INTC is much better situated, with a great strategy.

Intel was built up by sands on the beach and will be washed out to dust into ocean soon than that.

Intels core products are completely replaceable.

Their manufacturing is high cost and not competitive

Intel is finished

Once you see Intel market shares loss crazy then it is done. It is still control over half of total market shares but not too long with current speed of technology advancements and pressures from many more strong competitors with a lot of capitals now.

It's a completely valid and legitimate question now.

No comeback for Intel. The only question which sorry @ss leader cleans it up and splits it up after the Pat disaster.

During bankruptcy proceedings, Kodak sold many of its patents for approximately $525 million to a group of companies (including Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Adobe Systems, and HTC) under the names Intellectual Ventures and RPX Corporation. Kodak announced that it would end the production of several products, including digital cameras, pocket video cameras, digital picture frames, and inkjet printers.

I agree with first reply…. Kodak is technically still around, just an extremely faded photo of its former glory… Intel will be the same… down, not out… gutted, but still making something…
