Management Cancelling All Internal Meetings

What does this mean? Just December, or something more?

It legit seems to be the worst company run by the worst people.

Absolutely. No other company comes even close. The management is made up of zombie-like airheads lacking all logic and all empathy. If someone put a paper bag over their heads they couldn’t find their way out! Seriously, it’s that bad. They can’t figure out how to rate the people under them because they have no clue what they do and have no idea how anything is supposed to be done. Oracle is bizarro-world. I used to think that if I went up the management chain I would eventually find someone who had a clue, but that is not true. There is no one. Clowns managed by even bigger clowns, all of them afraid someone will notice what they are and see past their stupid titles. What a waste of time it was working at Oracle.

Hopefully they are cleaning up the mafia RICO corruption before media gives it their own spin. A big Christmas surprise is in store. He who said, never happen. Never say never.

Put a sock in it, SEC man. No one needs your BS here.

I am confident that zero people, who can be honest with themselves (responsible for their choices to stay), and those who are being truthful, can say one good thing about Oracle. It legit seems to be the worst company run by the worst people. I have never read as much terrilble stuff about a company this size. I recently left a well known company and their culture was terrible, but they haven't been around as long as Oracle. It seems like Oracle mgmt just let so many bad things happen over the years that people (the worker bees) accepted the bad behavior and traded it for a paycheck and bennies; I understand that....many have families and such. It's just terrible to see so many people who are hurting, have been hurt and will be hurt. My time at Oracle, like many, was the worst career decision I could've made. While it didn't ruin my life, it sure made me realize how many terrible people are lurking at these companies. Just so many bad actors. The sad part about it, what I felt, was that the bad actors, the sl--e, it was usually the people with the least talent, the least technical skills, the least ability. People who have good skills, who have been in the trenches, they just dont act as bad as these bad actors. It's just sad. I couldn't wake up every morning knowing I was a POS. There are just so many terrible people in mgmt there. It's sad. And the funny thing is they will totally scr-ew you, smile at you, and then say, "sorry, we just can't help you". Even HR. The worst. People with zero morals or empathy. Life is short folks.....you will eventually have to pay a price for what you did.

Meetings may have been canceled due to multiple VP’s being ‘retired’.

I was RIF’d in April after 8-years. Still have friends at Oracle. Sounds like a sh-t show there. Be prepared.

I’d recommend updating one or more versions of your resume. One for each role you may seek. Maybe float a few applications to see how it fares.

Add or modernize your skills. Pick up some relevant certs for the roles you might seek.

Review your finances and war game layoff scenarios. What expenses can you reduce quick, what’s your savings runway look like, etc.

Reach out to your network in advance of a potential layoff. Don’t underestimate the value of relationships.

Good luck.

Maybe LE is replacing mgmt like he did in 1990.

“ Nothing to do, no roadmap no leadership until Jan. “

Longer than that, surely.

Update your skills. Maybe try to minimize your time at Oracle on your resume.

Nice - Oracle shuts down the entire month of December. What a loser company Oracle has turned into.

I spent 20 years at Oracle before being RIFd, and I should have left after 10 max. The longer you’re there, the more stale your skills become. Don’t be foolish into thinking you have a long term career at Oracle. Move on, there are far better companies to work at.

I’m sure it’s nothing. If there were more layoffs coming, there would be more meetings, not less. Probably totally irrelevant. Probably has to do with the holidays.
