More coming soon...just wait. Reports easily get handed off to someone else. Don't need as many sitting around making 6 digits to just prepare presentations and give lip service...Washington? Zipitydodah.....

I don’t think that’s totally true. I know several techs in the Midwest have been making six figures or real close to that for years. They hardly ever do anything, and a couple of them hardly ever leave home! They do fly under the radar and I’ve only seen one get laid off. But he was in his sixties and we all know Windstream discriminates against them. Even the government condones that, just saying. Won’t be long now before you are part of some other cr-ppy telecom company.

The NOC was on the buddy system. That was obvious by who got promoted. If you were a good worker the only reward was more work. No promotions. He-l GLS became the only place they knew where to siphon people from. Most su-ked but the power in GLS buddies and card games let them thrive and be promoted.

Yeah, no on the money part, its all about checkboxes here and promoting on other things besides skill and the ability to do the job, thats why you have Sr. Engineers who failed up into jobs, sure they couldn't troubleshoot their way out of a wet paper bag, but they were nice.

While others have to threaten to leave to get a promotion

In case you haven't noticed - it's all about the $. Has been for many years. The more you make, the more your name shows up - and you get on the target list. Chances are the woman with the promotion was making way less. Those old-timers at the NOCS (who I thought were all gone by now) probably were (and still are) making BIG bucks. Mostly because they showed up every day for 25-30 years.

I hope there is a class action lawsuit, the way promotions have been handed out in recent years in the noc for instance is crazy, its almost like HR said this person needs to be promoted, skillset or anything else seems to be the last thing on their minds.

One guy left who had a CCNP that was passed up for a promotion, guess who got the promotion, a relatively new hire who happened to be a woman.

This place is a good company to work for, just remember, show up, learn what you can and then move onto some other opportunity, sticking around this place and being loyal will get you a ton of disappointment.

You are looked at like a number and nothing else, its obvious from how various Noc groups were gutted that skill had nothing to do with the decisions.

In my group the only people that got laid off over the last year were ones with outdated skillsets that flat out refused to update them and were literally sitting in the office with nothing to do.

EEOC charges would be nice, its crazy that management couldn't tell us why we were laid off, they got rid of the top ticket workers in the noc, the top people who answered the phones, actually showed up and worked.

Applying back to jobs was met with, you did well on the interview, but there are other factors. Yeah, I don't seem to remember seeing any minorities getting laid off besides the really cr-ppy guy, or anyone else that wasn't a white male in the group.

I wonder if the ever growing number of EEOC charges being submitted by former employees has a bit to do with this exodus. Best file soon!

If you are director or above, your days are numbered. You were part of the $10M bonus retention for the top 180 and time is up!

I'm SURE there is a deal in the making, we don't need duplicate C level execs.

BB , enjoy your golden parachute.

Looks like the end of the good ol' boy era. Tony friends better statt looking for jobs. Hope Sunu doesn't stop there and keeps on booting the dummies at the top that thrived during the Tony era with those bonuses and everyone else suffered and got fired.

Wonder if he knows something about this. Leaving to work for an international company. Clearly, that's not something that happens overnight.
