Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

What is the general opinion from major UK clients on DXC's performance & future?

I am rather curious to know what the general opinion and behaviour has been from the varying UK clients. I remember a few years ago shortly after the HPE ES + CSC merger BAE were seriously reluctant to take on another DXC bid and it was only the saving throw of 30:30 that was able to salvage it. I also know there has been a lot of migration of certain clients such as Urenco and the MOD to other service providers such as Capita or otherwise taking it in house. Leonardo was the only account where I didnt see a lot of concern but suspect that probably isnt too great either

What is the client's take on all this malarky?

The Deutsche Bank 10 year deal has turned out to be a total tu-d. Deutsche have just left it to wither on the vine because they could not afford to get out early having taken a multi million pound bung from HPe at the start of the deal as a sweetener. The other reason is probably because they TUPE'd all the knowledge to HPe to rid themselves of redundency costs etc, they got what they deserve and are still scrabbling around trying to sort out their sh-t pile of applications with a bunch of turkeys left that weren't transferred out.

What about all the clients knowing Mike's statement that we no longer do pay raises on that famous town hall 4 years ago.

It was so bad they removed the town hall from the intranet site and Mike has never been seen since. Leaderless!!!

That's the state if this company, a leader who can't speak to his key assets fairly, surrounded by yes men who tell him all is fine.

The clients are well aware of how the top of DXC behaves and treats its folks.

Mike is very far from reality and so far from winning any customers.

Eon ignored the DXC bid after Mike made the "Clanger" of a statement that DXC were no longer going to do mwp. Complete muppet

I think some staff within the clients are actively seeking to show DXC up, so they can exit the contracts early or least justify why their management shouldn't consider DXC next time around. It's not too hard, and they have many collaborators in DXC who have no intention of saving it now. We all feel we'd be better being TUPE transferred over to the client or onto a new employer. It will surely be one who has better management and decent business processes to achieve getting stuff done.

OP - this is the first time we are seeing a pointed and relevant question with background on this site. Wish the management is asking similar questions and making the right decisions. Otherwise it is malarky

Pretty sure DXC will be kicked out of Urenco completely in the next few years with all SAP S/4 and support work likely going to Cap or similar.
