Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Corebridge Layoffs

Some recent layoffs at Corebridge. Rumor is they will re-evaluate Q1/Q2 of 2024. Need to meet the expense reduction goal to look better on paper.

Left in IT at Corebridge? 100% are left....now. CB started with minimal IT staff in order to guide things towards Accentures takeover. As stated below, once the SME has served their purpose, CB will cast them off. Now, what percentage will be left afterwards? I suspect not much. Both comments below are spot on. Waiting for my payout.....after all this....I have more than earned it.

How many employees do you think are left in IT as a percentage?

Outside of remaining experts supporting recently or soon to complete projects or areas aig has chosen to retain it is about as low as it can get while retaining minimal oversight with the various vendors.

Every executive the past 15 years has been charged with reducing headcount and expenses. It is standard operating procedure not some new conspiracy.

Layoffs happening with STI cuts. Some of the employees who have been participating as SME in some of Accenture lead projects are being targeted. Managers have created the list and CIO is taking a look at it. CIO has been promised shares if he/she can get rid of most employees and have Accenture takeover everything.

I'm with CB and I have not seen or heard of any layoffs currently. What departments were impacted? The Q2 2024 layoff rumor sounds realistic with the main separation hopefully completed by then.

You better watch out if you get a low rating in this year review.
