Speak to me, purple people. What did you think of the latest company convo?

J has always celebrated mediocrity. He was given a company with 40,000 cash printing machines a ruined it. People thanking him for being "allowed" to work at SP? He's Reminding me of the orange buffoon.
If someone were to accuse Jay of being a leader, I doubt they'd be able to produce enough evidence to convict him.
He had a great opportunity to "pursue excellence" by doing the "right thing, always" during that call, but failed miserably. The EMT's presentation of accomplishments was an amateurish celebration of minutia with the feeling of a drunken frat gathering.
Jay's not the man he imagines himself to be.
@1bnt+1pQR5eon I must say that I disagree with you at the present time. Ordinarily I would say that your statement would generally hold true; however, with all of the losses from the EMT and the organization over the last 13 months I am forced to agree that a random selection from the existing employee base wouldn't be any worse than what we have now.
“A lot of people that have emailed me thanking me for allowing them to work here from Southpointe.” Inbox is full of them.
Ok, would love to see these emails!! Such a blatant lie.
@1xuj+1pQR5eon That is just asinine. If running a company was that simple, you'd have your own company. I'm no fan of CC's inept leadership. JB said we are ALL replaceable. He just thinks he is not, until the Board of Directors says so.
Can't get a refund for what you don't have.
J's a legend in his own mind.
I think J should call up Baylor and request his money back for his MBA. Clearly it's not doing him any good.
They definitely weren’t being very noble with that display.
My reaction? The EMT needs looser pants or to learn to cross their legs. That was a bit offensive.
You could randomly pull six employees names out of a hat and whoever you pulled would run the company better than the EMT does.
Talent like we have in the EMT can be found anywhere. It will be no problem replacing them.
@wmn+1pQR5eon Correct, half of CCISites is Java, the other half Angular, and has been for half a decade! The Java pages run at like half speed! We want clients to buy high speed fiber from us, while running the equivalent of a DSL speed systems in house. Guess we are better than dial-up?
Jay and EMT, do us all a favor and resign so Elliot can take over. We are in need of true leadership. And please take your lazy upper and mid level managers/appointees with you. Worker bees have been laid off. Now it’s your turn to reciprocate.
Every serious failure in every part of this organization is a direct result of an executive decision. Bad decisions have put this business in the condition that it's in today and that same decision maker is still at the helm.
@bfm+1pQR5eon All true. Of course the decision to make no investment whatsoever to those antiquated systems for these many years was an executive one.
Part of being able to use AI to run anything is good data, so thank gosh we have been digitally transformed! You also have to standardize and were not great at that working in our silos either! Great forward thinking, CCISites is driven off 785 independent data tables with zero to minimal data governance! Not to mention two decades of technical debt you need to be refactored. I remember the RF guys did a query years ago and had like 18 variations for Pittsburgh. I see tower height of 110' on one page 109' on another, SA says 100' and MA has a MCL of 115'. Can't do much with that and there are hundreds of thousands of documents with all different flavors!
@ieg+1pQR5eon Like what? Watching an id--t run this business into the ground? Is that what you're defending?
What a bunch of babies. If you don't like it, quit
I also find it hilarious that we recently had ethics training, when JB, CL, LN and co. clearly have no ethics. Do as I say, not as do
The only way their plan makes sense is if they are not going to backfill positions in TX but rather rely on AI to do the jobs. Otherwise the cost of relocating and severances are going to further hurt the bottom line.
Here's what JB is telling us is going to save the company?:
Spend millions and millions in severance, unemployment benefits and relocation costs, have double staffing during the transition period and rent 2 new buildings in Houston - just to close 2 buildings in Washington County, PA that will be difficult to sell/lease. I guess I'm just not as smart as those Texans.
The hypocrisy was palpable during that entire conversation. From the fake smiles behind the lies to the complete disregard for the people sacrificed to suit j's stupid arrogant pride and reckless financial goals.
I find it laughable that JB doesn’t like it when Elliot calls for him to lose his job, yet it’s ok for half the company to lose theirs or relocate across the country. Also, I’m calling BS on the whole “we want you to come/relocate to Texas”. I was literally offered double to stay where I am than to relocate to TX.. the EMT is seriously tone deaf.
This Elliot stuff has been going on for 5 or 6 years, I'm sure J doesn't care. The fact that their case has been proven over time is just making him dig in further and thousands of people are being hurt because of it. Shame. Pride goeth before the fall.
Oh yeah and we had an HR department that actually advocated best practices, for both employees and mgmt and against nepotism.
I hope Elliot is reading this or this information gets back to them for Jay’s cold response and attitude towards their request for his removal.
Jay’s image, and that of the EMT, in the industry are continuing to get tarnished from 2020 and now.
Jay HAS to put a positive spin on this for us. But in reality, it must be eating him up on the inside. At least I hope it does if he has a heart and conscience. He may need to contact the company’s free counseling services for help.
When Ben was here he went out of his way to ensure no layoffs. From using temp staff, to not creating new positions to keeping management small. Every decision was thought out and weighed. He protected employees while growing the business. J is a clown.
Only a 1,000 jobs? What about the 750 jobs lost in the last layoff? That’s close to 2,000 lives/families affected. Can we all blatantly say we’re not moving and those that got laid off want their jobs back under new management? Oh, the hypocrisy from the EMT vs the real world.
Currently still going. I’m absolutely disgusted by the way JB jokes about Elliot asking for his resignation, and blatantly saying he’s not budging. Meanwhile, this same smug guy has essentially eliminated over 1000 jobs by asking folks to relocate.
The C Suite are clowns that do not operate on the same ethics, and integrity that they ask of their employees. They are failing all of their employees and have too much pride to do the right thing, realize they can’t fix this, and resign. They just keep digging the wall deeper and deeper - so much second hand embarrassment. These are not good leaders
This middle part where they waste time so they don’t face to actually answer questions is great. Even though they have already posted this all online.
