Express Channel 2024 Store Closures & Layoffs

Expect another round of layoffs for Expresss Channel in 2024! My leader already confirmed we are seeking to consolidate most Sub Dealers and other locations that are not performing… I would expect 2 RDMs per area in Q1 of 2024 maybe Q2 depending on how soon! No One Is Safe!!!!!!!

Express is Metro branded stores run by independent owners not corporate.
The long term plan is to use these locations as fulfillment stops for consumers. Order on line, do all paperwork etc. and stop in to pick up TMO devices.

What exactly is Express? Does it include COR, TPR, and TPRsub?

I was just told this as well.
RDMs were told to be sure workday is updated and are being asked about relocation.

Express to shed 200 doors in Q1.

Can confirm. Legal letters will be going out by EOY to owners and what stores they will need to close.
As far as field teams, they are not having the impact to the stores SLT thought they would have when they replaced the old employees earlier this year.
Another failed experiment by TMO.
Good luck people.

I wouldn’t doubt it… I’ve developed a strong hate for this company since the merger. Every year we promise no more layoffs and yet we end up having them multiple times a year after year! Last one was 5,000 a few months ago!
