At least pay-wise. I've been trying to find a new job for a few months and I've been getting offers, but the pay was always below what I make here. Which in itself is worrisome since Cigna is not among the better-paying companies. I knew already the job market was not as good as it had been a year or so ago, but this is much worse than I expected.

I am able to find better other paying jobs doing the same role locally (I live in a large city), but it would require me to be 100% in office or Hybrid at these local companies. At the moment I am still interim WFH and the only reason why I choose to stay at Cigna. It's harder to find WFH jobs and they tend to pay less.
It’s the golden handcuffs. Pay just enough so it makes it difficult to find another job, so you are forced to stay. It’s worth the little extra.
I’ve applied to upwards of 60 jobs and maybe had 3-4 interviews. One offer and it was making significantly less. It’s rough out there.
Makes sense to decrease pay and increase the cost of living (in my sarcastic voice). This is awful.
I worry you may be right. are you looking for remote-only roles?
recruiters have been telling me that salaries are going down and more companies are expecting at least 2-3 days in the office.
