Legacy Sick Time

Does anyone know if you are able to use this Sick Time without getting docked points? If I have a family member that was sick, and had to call off. Why can't I use this without getting hit with a point? I know some other long time associate used it without points, and no issues when calling off. What is the true policy on this? I am not one to call off ever, and am always at work. It is rare when I do, but I thought Legacy Sick Time was for cases like this.

It does not protect points anymore than PTO does. But if you request it in advance for doctors appointment it can be keyed in.

Everyone should be able to get raises when the company does good. We all have helped to make this company successful not just the Managers. We make the Managers job easier when we care about how we treat the customers and Members if you work for Sam's Club. It's not fair how raises are done. I have been with the company for almost thirty years. I stepped down because I couldn't stay in my Supervisor role since I decided to go part-time. I lost almost $2 an hr. I couldn't believe it! I'm making now the same amount I was making in 2006. The company needs to do better job distributing the wealth, their also should never be a cap on what you pay your associates. There isn't a Cap on the Cost of Living.

Since you said you never call out, you should have PPT0 that you can use. That will protect you from getting points.

They can give it but the manager is too lazy 😴 it will cost points as well thats what they say to you to discourage im at 176 hours there and can't use them.we lost our vacation time we built up after so many years there we may or may not get like last year a raise of if we are not at a cap of under 2 percent. I've seen it as low a .9 raise.if you are demoted you lose the pay rate or when you change areas you can lose your current pay if thats 2.00 like I lost it took almost 8 years to make that up im still 60 cents below.and don't explain sams share .we get a troll on comments make over 100 mil for sales and barely get anything for a quarterly bonus.in the easy days it was we were the company now...

Legacy sick time was earned before there was a point system. So therefore you can use it for what you want, however it will not result in covering points. Odds are if you have legacy sick time, your not an attendance problem so it really shouldn't matter. You can remember that points are not a bad thing until you hit 4-5. Then your a problem.

If you call off and use legacy time you will get points because it is not “protected” time off. If you do a “unpaid” request off and it is approved and you want to use legacy you have to let a manger know so they can key it. No points on that because it was already approved.

My corrupt manager said that we can use it but we will still get a point for using it. I don't understand why we would get a point if we earned this time.

yea get it approved ahead of time, ive done it. it acts just like PTO now, except you gottta let a manager know, i watched em do it. its literally like a few clicks and done. It does not remove points retroactively tho.

You have to get Legacy Sick Time okayed thru a manager. They are the only ones who can put it in for you. There should not be any points if they give it to you.
