Are we done with layoffs for this year?

It makes absolutely zero sense that they lay off or offer separation to union titles, when some in those job titles are working double shifts or mandatory overtime. What is wrong with Lumen?
What i would like to know is why did Lumen recently layoff 1200 (which who knows if all 1200 has been done yet) but from repair and solutions it seems they did. Well how or why is on to then ask volunteers to help fill in in those departments. I thought if you lay people off you legally cannot have some else in that same position. How is this ok? Where is the transparency or honesty. My rose colored glasses are now off. This company could care less about their employees or how they destroy their lives. I’d like to hear from anyone on how Lumen is and can filling on temp basis (or so they say) positions that people were layed off??? Where is our union?? Why don’t they step in or do they not know?
I think that now that we are back to missing numbers and the stock is in the toilet, we will likely be back to the old pattern of a RIF after each earnings report which is a miss ... or at least 2 per year.
Unfortunately there is nothing going on internally which gives me reason to believe this place can be saved.

I hired on in the early 00's around merger and they did layoffs almost every year since. The number of year without can be counted on one hand. The number of years with raises can be counted on one hand.
This company is never done with layoffs! That’s all they do is lay people off to fend for themselves! Meanwhile, they bank and come up with stupid ideas! Facts!
