Regardless of your opinion @nwq+1pHybdA5 that there is no 'need' for a consultation period, there is nevertheless a legal requirement for one.
Broadcom had ample time to decide the future of every full-time employee. There's no need for a consultation period at all.
There will be a consultation period. Nobody in Ireland will be laid off on Day 1.

TUPE will not apply in this acquisition as it’s an acquisition of shares, which does not trigger TUPE. So that usual protection will not be in place
