Deal closes what's next for Ireland

So the deal is confirmed to close tomorrow, what's the story with Ireland and getting letters? When will they arrive? Do I have a job tomorrow?

Regardless of your opinion @nwq+1pHybdA5 that there is no 'need' for a consultation period, there is nevertheless a legal requirement for one.

Broadcom had ample time to decide the future of every full-time employee. There's no need for a consultation period at all.

There will be a consultation period. Nobody in Ireland will be laid off on Day 1.

Substantial workforce reductions are anticipated in Cork, with Operations, Human Resources, and Management expected to bear the brunt of the impact.

“Gotta wait for BC to own the Ireland VMW legal entity, then the TUPE process can start.”

TUPE will not apply in this acquisition as it’s an acquisition of shares, which does not trigger TUPE. So that usual protection will not be in place

Gotta wait for BC to own the Ireland VMW legal entity, then the TUPE process can start. Gonna be at least a couple of months before any changes.
