Going to be another painful year with performance review being harsher than mid-year. Anyone below strong will automatically be placed either on a coaching or PIP plan.

They keep talking about raising the bar, but Cap One is where tech people who couldn’t hack it at a FAANG end up
It’s really a Sick practice to allow an employee (looks many have served for many years) being thrown off the boat when disliked by another one or two.
the execs need to choke on turkey bone fragments this thanksgiving
Yet another recent 1 star Glassdoor review with the same message as this post. Myself and others have encountered this @ C1 and harassed by those nasty thangs who are shameless in stealing credit for your work and writing false reviews to harm, harass, and discriminate against you. Shut this piece of S### down.

Manager made up lies to pip

Business Outlook
Pros
hybrid work and coworkers are nice
Cons
chaos management, company culture is so toxic and manager made up lies about my performance, took credit, and blamed me for his fault. There's no transparency from upper leadership. Too many stakeholders and ideas for one single project and no one could/ would like to make the call. Rather than improving projects and collaboration with coworkers, stack ranking makes people more into self-promoting, 'please' all stakeholders and blaming others for anything off.
Advice to Management
don't lay off employees actually do things, if so at least pay them decently
All by design. Have to “raise the bar” wrt talent by cutting the below strong performers. Are you not motivated?
