Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

absurd and incompetent

When the Agile Delivery Leads which had over a 1,000 people get fired in January of 2023. The product managers and engineering leads were supposed to take over.

NOW THEY ARE ASKING EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS TO MONITOR JIRA BOARDS TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE UP TO DATE!!!

THE ENTIRE EXECUTIVE TEAM AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS NEEDS TO BE FIRED !!!

Tech sector got asked a survey earlier regarding what we wanted to see ADL team can do for us. That was when my senses tingled especially when the economy was taking a nose dive.

When I was in People Leadership we had a meeting about how if we ever heard of any of our agents talking about Unions or wanting to that we had to immediately report it to AR.

There was no plan. At least up through director level there was no warning that ADLs were being eliminated. The “reached agile maturity” justification was BS. C1 is ruthless. That kind of decision to cut an entire job family or business unit with no warning is not an aberration, it’s in C1’s DNA. It happened to ADLs and it could happen to you.

Could this not enhance job security for admins without completely replacing their roles with AI? I may be mistaken, but it seems like the more work, the better.
