How many were cut on Day 1?

The original question referred layoffs around thanksgiving starting this week.The news flashed out starting yesterday. Broadly folks are aware of the obvious news.
That comment wasn’t nasty. It’s a fact. There was no day 1, there have been layoffs since the restructuring announcement ( and prior, 7 thousand this year). Layoffs will go on until end of Q1
I agree. This is not the time to be nasty to each other. I know there's a lot of emotions and stuff going on, but this is a place for information and support. It's not a place to put each other down.
