Lies about severance

Town Hall call Friday before layoffs... quote " Severance will be based on position, and years of service" - ALL LIES

I got my notice and they are already not doing what they said on the company meeting,
The people under me are getting 1 week per year 3 years = 3 weeks, 8 years = 8 weeks, and they wouldn't even be here if it were not for their manager. If you are a tenured person who was with the company for more than 10 years they are not treating you like the other employees...is this discriminating?! Management position with over 10 years of service and I'm getting less than a week per year, which is less than the people people I hired and trained. What a disrespectful way to thank me for all my years of dedication, the many nights of no sleep to ensure we met deadlines for clients, of being a top performer and serving a company that is now heartless and apparently untrustworthy. Now they want us to stay and train our our India replacements for 3 months!?!?

After nearly 20 years with the company and watching how each acquisition and layoffs were handled, this was the most unprofessional handling of the situation I've seen. Not only are the clients not being told, the "vendor partners" in India who are replacing us are also in the dark. This transition is leaving many of us floundering and at a loss for words. They thanked us for our dedication, efforts, hard work and years of loyalty; in return we got shafted!

I worked for NextGen for 5 yrs, then I began seeing the newest management (a fourth 'regime' of upper mgmt in my area) begin requiring us to train those in India as well as enforcing other very suspiciously untrustworthy activities. So glad I just 'packed and walked out' without 'blinking' about severance -threw it away because mgmt was sooo bad! I've been thriving ever since so those who leave now should just have faith in themselves too and act now to capture much better for your lives ongoing!

Since when has that Old HR b!tch Donna Greene ever been honest? Every layoff when asked if any of the people who were asked to let go offer different positions within the company or offered Reverence, she always BS and said Yes, that b!tch can lie right through her teeth and feel Zero guilt about it. I've been in the company for 10 yrs and it is hardly surprising.

15 years for me and got 8 weeks. They are definitely not giving a damn about us and treating us like we've been fired versus laid off. We're scrambling to maintain our lives while they line their pockets with bonuses. It's atrocious!
