Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Not seeing a lot of interest in a move

The current vibe is less than 5 percent will be heading south. Seems the failing culture is not appealing enough to uproot a family. Even seeing people that are not required to move or already work I. Houston planning an exit. Those are the smart ones. Control your own destiny.

Insanity to move a family to Houston with the scarlett SP on your forehead. Insanity.

Anyone who relocates their families for this joke of a company are in for a sad surprise and are d-mber than anyone could possibly comprehend.

Sounds like he took relo and is already on verge of being fired due to impossible workload. Sickening. They're just using lower folks to get by until things even out. Ruining lives.

Well if you mean running the business into the ground like Musk is doing with Twitter then ya J and team are right in line.

The EMT think they’re Elon Musk or Zuckerberg or one of these iconic leaders who can rally the troops and get every one all hardcore and all in. It’s hilarious. They’re so insulated that I think they really truly believe that’s what they’re doing. It’s laughable and out of touch. They haven’t inspired anyone to work harder in half a decade.

Let's write out some names here. I was in SP but can't place these initials. Use l33t if you have to. I wanna know who jacked it all up.

That may be how the world works for mom and pops but not multi billion dollar corporations. Nepotism and fraternization are not permitted in the real word. It may happen here and there but it permeated southpointe. That's exactly the problem- southpointe was permitted to run like a mom and pop store. Because the whole business counted on them, they had all the power. Ridiculous. Half of them couldn't run a gas station.

Yes on sales. V kept mostly guys on her team, including husband's college roommate, to support her ego. L kept youngsters, who were at her house every weekend for "secret" parties, to support her ego. A handful of people doing all the work while the others played and then were promoted. If you worked you weren't going anywhere because you were needed to cover butts. Where was hr? What company allows mgrs to have staff routinely drinking and sleeping at their house? So many opportunities for harm. Ruined the place. Shame.

Yes karma is gonna get many. Thought it would last forever, making 150/200k a year with skills that will now only get them 75k if they're lucky. Made millions and should be able to retire but spent it. I feel bad for the worker bees and everyone's kids but not the people that had a free ride on others backs. It's a shame.

Totally agree on finance but believe it or not sales is much worse. Almost every half a$$ed manager, regardless of department, can be traced back to sales/cmnr. They only hire and promote relatives/friends/ and kids willing to worship them. They polluted southpointe. Polluted.

Especially within the finance teams in SP. They are all unqualified finance managers who think they are all that. All they do is provide useless reporting to prove their worth. All they did was hire their friends while kicking out qualified and educated employees that unfortunately had to work underneath them. I’m glad the finance team is forced to move to TX because the management is by far the worst in crown. Karma got you.

@flz+1pBWTgiJ - I know you are trying to take a shot at those of us in SP. The fact is you are not wrong but it isn’t the fault of the worker bees. SP is infested with management hiring unqualified friends, family, and peers from prior jobs, college or high school. That is how the world works, I get it. However, for Crown, these people don’t know the jobs they are given. Directors hire their close friends to report directly to them. What is the outcome? This! What we see right now. This department doesn’t know how to handle problem X so they kick the can to another department. They don’t know what to do so they kick the can… and on and on and on. I honestly hope this house cleaning of SP gets rid of all of that nonsense. However, I am apprehensive because I feel like it is going to be the same thing in Houston.

You know what, this all needs filters removed. People should name names. It is more then just Brown & Nichol that is making CCI sh-t. So why hold back if you are telling the truth you can defend yourself in a court of law in the worst case possible scenario.

Ya me too. Mgr was furious at the work accomplished and problems solved. She was afraid someone would ask why it all went on for years unresolved. Answer: she was there because her sister practically ran south point and only reason Mgr was there. No business skills, no customer service skills. Just related. Sickening.

Less qualified? Does that matter? The managers are so wound up they prevent you from doing real work anyway. They want slacking so they can slack. I got laid off because I "did too much work that made my department look lazy." They don't want change. They want people that idle through the day with twice a month hoorah's to appear like work is getting done.

Just ask security with their once a year documents that they push out. They idle the rest of the time.

You will all be replaced by someone less qualified. They will be hired cheaper with less benefits and just be happy to afford their student loan payments.
On an upside, they should actually have a hunger to do their job.
