Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

If rehired after RIF beware

I was let go on 10/20 applied for a few positions after term. Met with a recruiter recently on a position.

Note that if you live further than 50 miles from any pulse point you may be rezoned if approved to be virtual. I am in a zone 1 but was told this would then become a national zone 4, the pay scale is significantly reduced. That is assuming you get approved.

Just my experience, may not be the same for all.

Ask questions before you get too far in the process with a position.

You don’t lose severance if you turn down an offer AFTER termination; that only applies before term. Now, for unemployment that might disqualify you and you might potentially be ineligible for SUB, but that’s an assumption so read the fine print and ask questions

@bfp+1pBBbHLM no true.

You can't turn down an internal position offered after termination date if you are on severance/unemployment with Elevance Health. So apply only if you are willing to take the job.

Yes aware of the fifty mile rule, got reclassified after I was work from for 20 years. I am a tad over 50 miles ( back then they let work from home be all ' wi--y nilly' and people moved out of state even, away from offices there was no rhyme or reason ) until eventually yrs wrud let go but not until they had a good run .So yes adjusted pay and still coming in 1x a week don't have to be laid off for that to happen.. I'll have to rethink it if ( when ) they increase the amount of days.

Currently at Anthem wasn't termed or laid off. I feel like I'm a slave to Gail Boudreaus salary. I barely make a living wage. There is NO CEO worth what she is making. This company is a nightmare. Everything is more difficult. The system is set up NOT to pay providers. Every dollar they don't pay out is bottom line adds. This company is 💯% about profit. F everything else

Please be careful when interviewing for other jobs at Elevance after being RIF'd. If you get offered a position and the new salary is within I think 15% of what your salary was on your eliminated position, you will lose your severance/supplemental income if you turn it down.

Don't waste your time with this or any company that tries to reduce your pay.
