Most of their specialty content development teams were just let go, save for one person from each. No knowledge transfer, no care for the support that was on-going for clients who have paid quite a bit for this now virtually unsupported software. VPs already stated the goal is to sell the company again in a few years. No long-term quality or client related goals, just turn around for a quick buck.

I was laid off after NextGen bought out NGO (aka HealthFusion) in 2016 - they had a one year "hands off" agreement and after that NextGen did their thing, though with a decent severance. While it was tough for a while I landed in a great spot. I wish you guys the best of luck.
