Some of you that comment on here really lack empathy omg. People (literal human beings) are expressing their frustration, disdain, concerns with their positions, the company, and the actions being done. And some of you are so indoctrinated to just believe that all people do is complain and that companies must do what they need to do, regardless of employees or customers. First of ALL big corps are as greedy and as evil as they come okay, and many and most things they do they do out of greed. Not because they need to survive. It is because of Greed!
Big corps succeed only because of the tax loopholes specifically designed for them (which is also approved and passed by them or the people they $$), +
the sacrifices and destruction of local businesses, and the ability to either pay low wages to hundred or thousands of workers or just go offshore for lower wages.
It is very rare to find a good company that actually treats and provide their workers with an actual livable wage and bare minimum benefits.
Now- theyre are some people who get lucky by getting into good and safe positions/companies (either by hard work or connection or just pure luck).
And if you’re one of those people or maybe you are content with were you or how you’re doing, I’m honestly happy for you, cherish it and be grateful, however I must say that your experiences aren’t the same as everyone else’s. And telling people to become self-employed as a solution bc they’re expressing how nervous they are due to fear of more layoffs is one of the most incomprehensible things I have ever read. And you should honestly be shameful. These are livelihoods that are being effected, layoffs are common but that doesn’t mean we have to accept them, how many other negative connotations must people just “normalize.” Do not shame people for expressing how they feel, whether it’s positive or negative, we must all remember at the end of the we are all humans who are thing to survive in a world that is systematically set up to keep us further divided, brainwashed, unhealthy, and working away most of our lives.

Many of us that work here have years of healthcare experience
We have advanced degrees
We have great work ethic
Suggesting burnt out, emotional empoyees should be grateful that they're not slinging sandwiches or selling used cars pretty much tells us exactly WHO YOU ARE and what you do at the company, Mister Middle Manager.
If they were spending their money smarter, they'd get rid of the overwhelming GLUT of guys like you, who are secretly watching ESPN on their phones while attending the never ending meetings about meetings about meetings and doing virtually nothing. They'd save about 175-200k apeice on salary and benefits per year not to mention the copious money spent on a-inattentive mistakes guys like you always seem to make.
I was laid off and for second time this month, a recruiter calls me ! For my old job!
Specifically UM dept. Healthnet Tricare. Of course I told her no thanks lol
**I wish there was a way to edit the grammar and spelling mistakes, sorry ya’ll lol I was typing real fast.
Responding to @1sud+1pA3iZHj That’s not entirely true, majority of people are employed at big corps these days and they hate it due to the fact that big corps give you bare minimum and expect you to provide them your highest quality and efficiency.
Your statement is exactly what OP was talking about. Working at Centene does not make you in a better position than other people because I know MANY people employed at this company that live check to check, Over-worked, under-appreciated, under paid.
Let’s be realistic here. Let’s be adults and let’s be honest, no sugar coating.
A company that has over billions of revenue yet continues to pay majority of their employees close to entry level payments, and on top of that, unless you have connections to the top, many who were laid off were those making decent pay, highly experienced, and knew their worth.
Now look at who they’re hiring to replace the very same they laid off. Same positions -much lower pay to under experienced people unaware of what they are being expected of. The benefits? The bonuses? The expectations of you? yeah no thanks.
Best believe if I would have known this is how it would have turned out to be. I would have stayed at my old job.
They put out this false narrative of all these positive possibilities but their foley and sooner or later the mgmt team needs to be held responsible for these false opportunities they portray to new hires and even old/currrent employees.
And im speaking from experience. The entire group of people I was hired with (which was over 30+) in the beginning of the year all feel the exact same. I was hired with over 30+ and we all trained together, although we were a mix of depts. from those 30+ that were hired along with me, only 8 remain (counting myself).
So no, working at this company DOES NOT make you or put you in a better position than most. Pls stop with the BS. We are tired of it and instead of BS just start taking accountability and attempting to fix the issues so they doesn’t worsen.
If you have a job at Centene, you are better off than many, many others.
I get that people want to vent, but there are so many that would like to work in a big corporation vs a mom and pop deli.
It not perfect but it’s so much better than selling used cars.
