Layoff Calls were cold, impersonal and unapologetic. Access to the system and even the internet was shut off on your laptop before the call even ended. If you needed anything personal from your laptop, you're out of luck. Not even a flash drive works to move over your performance reviews and kudos you may have gotten over the years. You spend years at a company, committed and dedicated to their vision and mission statement only to be treated like you were fired for bad performance, not laid off. Right before the holidays and then pretend like it's a good thing.

Communication is definitely not an Executive Leadership Team.... Remember the ransomware attack at the beginning of 2023? That was a clusterf*ck! Still those same clowns in charge.
I'm curious as to how they handled your group as far as getting something in writing to you or a severance package offering. I am in a group where part of them have been given a final date of employment after the first of the year and have not received anything official as far as a severance package. Did they indicate they would be paying you for 60 days to cover the WARN Act period of time? People are in such a state of confusion about what's to come, or not come......
It doesn't matter how much Donna or any of the other leadership jerks got from this sale...they all have to live with their actions. All that money and their ugly inside and out.
There will always be a bully that says stop crying and find another job. That has nothing to do with it. If you don't care, why are you responding anyway? Future employees need to know what they're getting themselves into and sharing thoughts on how the process was handled is good information for someone, even if it isn't for you. The fact that you took time out of your day to be an a$$hole to people who've lost their jobs, clearly means that's how you are as a person on the regular. Whoever you're working for, friends with, involved with, a child to, a parent to or a relative to has he-l to pay when you come around. DO BETTER!
For the person saying everyone should just "stop crying"...
I don't think anyone was surprised by the fact there were going to be layoffs. It was anticipated. However, the manner is which they were conducted was unprofessional and poorly planned, and I think it's proper to point out just how badly this process has been implemented. If not for the former employees themselves, for those who would seek employment with them in the future to weigh their options.
People were let go while on support calls for client installs. Teams have been stripped of decades of experience and left with only a single dev with less than a year of experience to support software used by thousands of providers daily.
This is not how a company that "cares about quality," as they claim, conducts itself.
Don't you realize that Nextgen was bought by investment firm. All of you knew it few months ago. Still you act like you're surprised by today's layoffs. Get real, noone cares about your feelings, never did. Stop crying and get another job.
And after they had the nerve to announce "no planned layoffs" just a few days ago...
HR absolutely refused to discuss anything with anyone on the call. Utterly abysmal behavior
