Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

HR calendar has been taken down. They’re watching, be careful!

Someone just brought up in the “2000 laid off at Cigna” thread that the HR manager calendar which showed future layoff dates has been taken down. It is highly likely that HR is monitoring this site.

Please maintain good OPSEC! Don’t state your team, department, physical location, or any personally identifiable info!

If the calendar was taken down, does anyone remember the dates? I know the next one is on 11/9, but after that?

When you see the down vote especially the single down vote for something that isn't offensive & most likely true, WHO do you think that is???

It's not just clinical leadership. Too many leaders are promoted for who they know versus what they know. I work with a lot of managers and directors across many departments. Cigna lost some strong leaders and employees during the Great Resignation and they will never recover the years of experience and knowledge they took with them. They will lose even more great employees now due to FoW and the fear of layoffs, because the highest performers are swamped with work and underpaid and unappreciated.

Leadership on the clinical end of things is a disaster. Completely incompetent. This all could’ve been avoided.

Responding to the person who said humans enjoy community, that is a fact. And Cigna knows that as well. Many in the medical field have heard about social determinate of health and having a community is part of that, and Cigna is big on social determinates of health and behavioral health. But they do not want to give the employees any REAL info about the layoffs and they don't want employees to talk about it. It is divide and conquer. If they keep us quiet we won't learn anything, can't compare notes and the company believes they will look better. Cigna used to have a great culture and was a wonderful place to work. Not anymore. Slowly over the years secrecy has crept in and secrets equal distrust and low morale.

The good news is that even leadership is fed up so they are very willingly talking live AND on here along with Blind and Fishbowl.

They can try to keep it quiet but it won’t stay quiet. Humans enjoy community, and the Cigna community / culture is in a nosedive. Even well-paid leaders have hit limit.

Leaks will continue to happen, HR can monitor us all they want. Cigna execute leadership has already reached a point of no return by damaging the company culture. Employees will speak up, but just be smart about it.

Leadership have been planning for this for some time. If you've been asked to participate or contribute to knowledge exchange, it's an effort to collect all P&Ps so they layoff people and keep knowledge. Moral Teams were set up across multiple departments months ago in a effort to get ahead of the damage they were about to inflict on company culture.
