Thread regarding Anthem Inc. layoffs

Temp work allowed while getting Supplemental Pay

I got RIF on 9/20. I was reading an article that was sent out after Supplemental Meeting and saw where getting a job with a Temp Company will not affect Supp Pay . This seems to depend on how the State Unemployment sees it. I am confused as this seem like a trap where Anthem will pay if the State determines it's not employment. Can someone provide clarity ?

In general, there's no incentive to work temporarily or part time unless you'll be making more than you made at Elevance. Any work you do can reduce your unemployment benefits or possibly make you ineligible. You have to follow the rules in your state. There's stuff you have to do each week to qualify for unemployment. Qualifying for unemployment in your state also qualifies you for supplemental unemployment from Elevance as long as you haven't exceeded the number of weeks you get from the state or from the company. I've been reading the policy over and over. It's confusing.

Earned income is earned income. taking a temp job will impact your unemployment amount.
