IT was included in the September layoffs, and will be included in all the next ones.

I am in IT and my manager told the ones that are left, that we are “safe” until the end of the year. After that, it’s a different story.

Turns out I was wrong, thank God. The first meeting was a town hall, but only for the corporate data analysts, engineers, and scientists within IT (BTS). Pretty standard stuff until the Q&A in the last 5 minutes. All 3 VPs claimed there were no more planned layoffs. They also stated that could change, depending on the actual losses incurred by Centene. One of the VPs stated the planned/expected loss for 2023 is between $8 and $10 billion. I also heard “many” contract employee contracts will be terminated in November and December.

I am disappoinred in myself that I started seeing a conspiracy that wasn’t there. This whole layoff scenario has me on edge. I apologize to all on these threads.
