WFR in August, took a few weeks off and have been nonstop searching since. I've had one interview total and didn't get the role. Every job post has 900 to 9000 applicants on it. Extremely worried. I want to think door closed and something better will open but it's discouraging to say the least.

Complain to the immigration department with proof. You could probably collect money from the employer. The employers lie a lot on the h1 application. I collected money from my previous employer. Try it

h1b replacing the older white male. The country is a cesspool now. Even if you get laid off, you probably can't take a remedial job as it will probably be taken by an immigrant. Say what you want, but we're getting squeezed out.
