5 Cigna Executives earnings = 400 employees annual salary. 400 people could still have their jobs!! It’s the same executive faces in every town hall. If Cigna is cleaning house then get rid of the people that caused the mess. 50 people laid off from Legal?? Yet Nicole Jones keeps her job and gets millions in stock, cash and perks. ??
Cigna is paying $175 million to the government bc of Medicare advantage claims (possibly fraud by cigna)! So hundreds of people lose their jobs because of “questionable” fraud ethics and compliance that was done under the current leadership??? Yet Cordani doesn’t have ANY consequences?????
Is anyone proud to work for this company? Cigna gives me the ick.

Agree. AI will be taking over a lot of depts. there are a bunch of executives that’ should have been the first to go for their mismanaged and terrible decisions. Cordani needs to have consequences!!! Profits over patients and employees is disgusting!
I read that about 8 different states have filled class action suits which included Express Scripts plus a civil class action case they have settled for 37 million in addition to the 175 mil in fines.
I was one of the layoffs on 10/12 - had no idea it was coming, and they gutted my entire team. My organization paid for itself several times over - this is about more than profit margins.
I think his time is definitely ticking as the company is a mess.
The irony is Cigna is facing at least 2 class action lawsuits related to its alleged use of a computer algorithm to automatically reject hundreds of thousands of patient claims without examining them individually. Recently, a shareholder filed suit against Cigna in Delaware when it failed to provide information he requested....
"According to Law360, Mr. Blackburn did not receive the requested information, which includes reports about the "legality or financial impact" of the PXDX tool. He is looking to "investigate possible mismanagement and/or breaches of fiduciary duty and other wrongdoing" by Cigna, and additional lawsuits could occur."

That would be the same Cigna that is planning to "automate processes" by using artificial intelligence, thereby resulting in the elimination of hundreds of positions. Cigna will get what's coming to it for what it has done and continues to do.
Cigna has a ton of legal exposure, and I would not be surprised if Cordani is out as CEO within the next 3 years.
