To the Case Manager in Medicare, your team is coming up soon. "Enhancements in technology and other areas" will be the reason to eliminate jobs in your area. They won't tell you or your team that, but Managers in your area have been working on enhancements to increase efficacy and reduce headcount.
You are right! I am a case manager who was not eliminated on 10/12 but we are now being told that things that once required a nurse are now going into automation. They like to say this is so we can spend more time with customer’s but let’s be real… they just need us to clean some things up as automation rolls out and then we will be the next ones gone. Sadly, so many of my colleagues are oblivious.

I am not sure if you already noticed, but several people in your area were already let go during the summer. Update your resume and be prepared. I wish you and everyone the best, but this is the new reality here at Cigna.
700 laid off on 10/12. Next round is 11/9 and then one at the end of January. Total will be about 5,000 (according to a colleague in the know). Yesterday hit legal particularly hard, lots of people laid off there. 40+ at least. Overall aim is 10% reduction in opex.
I’m a case manager on the Medicare side. Nothing yet in our area. Won’t be surprised if/when they do. Wishing everyone a better place.
