Select by age, dept. budgets, strategic goals unknown to us in C-suite.

Is there any correlation between those who were let go and those who had to return to worksites in September?

Wondering if those back in the office are safer from November cuts? Or less safe? Or maybe that part is irrelevant since those decisions also appear to be highly random!

Or it’s that roles are being deemed obsolete as they create new things like the AI COE (Center of “excellence”) In the end it is always about the money…what should be funded to help make it more “efficient” to operate (e.g., AI) and where is the dead weight on the other end of that equation?

It is NEVER random. It's I blew my nose the wrong way or I can't be trained for new stuff or I've been a pass poor performer for years and now is my chance to lose this person.

It’s random, I think some HR consultancy helped to pick who was the unlucky person :(
