For those wondering the US layoffs have begun. Got my 60 day notice today. Long tenure and just gone like that. Sounds like many more coming at lower levels. Flattening the org means making managers maybe finally earn their wage.

Nobody gets let go for making too much. This is insanity. There are tons of people that make 80’s, 90’s, 100k that have made it through more than one RIF.
I think they should let go the IDE directors and officers that don’t do anything for the business
A few years ago, after almost 30 years with Allstate in the states, I was let go. I must admit it was difficult at the time but proved to be a positive thing in my life. They can take your job; but don't let them take your sanity and peace of mind. Good luck to all of you.
I heard ERRM had layoffs and like scrum masters were let go. Other IT areas too.
Are there any insurance companies not doing layoffs? This is frustrating
Wonder where that $10M for employee connections went ...
I have not been let go but talent management and L&D have lost positions.
What positions?
Just remember: It's been a bumpy ride, but we've executed (our management's credibility, our ability to deliver anything efficiently, and your family's livelihood) well.
Those I have seen get laid off seem to be those that were getting paid more than their peers, these were those that were performing quite well. The ones that were retained were those who were getting paid less, and in many cases have had discussions about their performance not being where it should be.
This company makes not sense, cut the ones doing well, keep the ones that aren't, I am sure that will work out well in the long run.
The board and top executives need a reshuffle! Started during the pandemic- well paid and underutilized. Smoke and mirrors at the top. Any clarity is shot down.
I was heavily recruited from my expertise, well paid, and laid off. Leaders did not want to hear questions that questioned their narrative. It is just a matter of time, this company will tank. It is all about the capital position. Contrary to the statements made that our RBC ratio and capital position is sound, it is just a matter of time. The board is asleep at the wheel.
What is the effective date? 60 days RIF? and what about severance?
What departments/states?
Got my notice as well. I was highly paid so I'm assuming this is why I was axed. Time to look for work or start an OF
What roles or departments?
Got rifted today 10/12
Everyone getting notice but not giving notice to their actual role........
Anyone know if Marketing got hit?
Yep. This is the week we have been warned about. Best to all in the states that are being impacted in all areas. It will be alright and for the better.
Based on the trends I’ve seen, they went around the org and severed people who are paid “too much” for their role. So the low paid low skilled folk carry on. Mediocrity reigns.
Yep. Just celebrated my 7 years on the 26th, and got my notice today. Lmao. Gotta love this bullsh-t. :)
i also got my notice today
