I asked my manager and confirmed that a layoff did happen on 10/12. Summarized due to orgazinational structure and told me it was mostly upper management. Higher than my manager's band. Not sure what band my manager is, prolly 3.

Was it only management this time or all levels of staff?
Can someone confirm that 10% is actually what's going to happen? Managment talking points of 1% isn't making sense. The numbers aren't adding up. 7K employees as opposed to 700 employees makes more sense. The whole thing is suspicious.
Look up Cigna Group Enterprise Severance Pay Plan on Iris. It is effective 10/1/23. It has a table on page 7 of the severance pay benefits. It is pretty generous. There is also an addendum effective same date that is in connection with future of work. For the 10/12 round of layoffs (I was part of), receiving benefits until term date of 11/11. The Cobra coverage while in severance period is affordable as well, $500 cheaper than regular Cobra coverage.
Benefits typically end the Sunday of the week you were let go unless they did it differently. I thought it was until the end of the month but that didn't happen with me. You can pick up COBRA, but it's so unaffordable, not sure who the he-l can afford it!!!!
I don't really have much to add, expect to say, thank you to whomever (or maybe it's multiple people) keeping us in the loop about these layoffs with specific dates. And the fact that these dates are extremely accurate with the layoffs occurring on those exact dates, just proves that the information that is being provided should be trusted, or at the very least, considered when making decisions on what our next steps should be. I have a ton of gratitude for all of you!
Something was up when Top HR Exec left. My theory is she either was forced to leave or saw the signs and jumped off the Titanic while she could. And if she is in the comments giving us insider information - thank you!
And to all higher bands helping us lower bands know what's up, we can't thank you enough. Please keep posting to help us deal.
My manager said she hadn't heard of future layoffs hapening. Well, that was a lie.
I can confirm 2 weeks for each year of service . What's weird is being let go but still on payroll for 30 days and severance doesn't start until Nov 11. This whole thing came out of left field . I guess I'm just feeling stupid for feeling like 10+ years and excellent performance would = some form of loyalty . Truth be told Cigna is a dysfunctional dumpster fire/ corporate sh-t show. And the severance document feels like a damn gag order.
Why aren’t benefits offered for 30 or 60 days in order to comply with WARN?
I heard it will be smaller than today’s 700. Today hit legal pretty hard (40+). But there’ll be a third round at least in the new year like in April that will more substantial. Waiting on that because they need the people to do year end close and other contractually obligated activities.
Today might also be a way to get employees to return to the office out of fear. Uptake on that isn’t spectacular. Cordani was apparently miffed that Bloomfield’s return to office was so lackluster.
For this round, was told 2 weeks per year of service. Benefits typically end pretty quick - like the end of the current month. You have the option for COBRA.
A manager told me today that 11/09 wasn’t on their radar. Of course, I know that’s a cover. We heard 11/09 and mid- February for round three.
Severance details can be found in Iris. It's broken down by band level and years working at Cigna with a minimum/base amount and maximum amount.
And can anyone provide basics of severance? 3 weeks per year? 60 days of benefits?
Was HR part of each layoff meeting?
