Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Just got an organizational email regarding Medicare layoffs today 10/12/23. Is 11/9/23 the next date?

So the email I got only said that it was 700 people across the US (1% of total workforce.) There was also a note that this was not the end and leaders would be asked to look for more opportunities for “alignment” in the months ahead.

Yes DeRosa's email named 5 specific leadership names, but didn't give specific names to anyone lower than that. And Yes, the date given was today, specifically that "colleagues who were notified today will NOT be asked to work through a paid notice period, so today was their last day with our company"

He named a few of those who held hire titles and just grouped the rest in one blurb. Yes they were let go effective immediately.

Did DeRosa’s email name names? I was told all that were laid off today were walked out - not allowed to stay for any length of time. So much for employee wellness.

I haven’t got this email yet, is there a date given on it?

Got that too! Chris De Rosa on the MA side sent ours. Lots of good leaders gone. And I recently learned that "decided to seek other opportunities outside the company" meant fired. Everyone, brush up that resume, you never know.
