I bet the useless degenerates from HR who placed a calendar appointment in my Outlook for a celebration of "coming out" on the same day as the sackings will be spared though.

Such valuable work they do...

Are the 150 redundancies with Allstate Pakistan?

Very dubious about the 150 redundancy figure. ANI do everything they can to hush up the numbers. If they fed the figure to the media it’s almost certainly substantially higher than 150. Management/HR cannot be trusted, period.

150 being let go according the latest article. Article below is behind a paywall.

BREAKING | Major NI firm to axe 150 jobs as staff told of decision
Staff impacted by redundancies are given the bad news in series of face-to-face meetings.

Around 150 jobs are being lost at IT firm Allstate NI as a major global restructuring unfolds at its parent company.
Affected staff were told the news in one-to-one meetings with directors yesterday, while further meetings are to take place with HR representatives today.

You don't work here. Company doesn't give you a number on performance rating nor anything called redundancy packages. Nothing has to be confirmed. They would give you all that info at that time.

Allstate in NI does give you a number from 1-4 on performance rating. I was told my job was eliminated today. Details on redundancy will be given in next 1-2 days.
A number of my colleagues in NI also got the same news....my managers said they were only told a few hours before me.

There's a lot of better employers in NI these days, not just money but tech, skills, attitude and appreciation. Get your CV updated and get hustling ANI people, best of luck

Masses of Allstate people are being let go and we have a goober on here insisting that Allstate didn't comply with WARN regulations. You can't make this stuff up.

Someone in my team was let go today. This isn't performance based as she got a 4 on his last year end review. She was just told their position was terminated and the redundancy package will be confirmed. Good luck everyone, the morale is at an all time low and loads of talented people will be let go :/

Don't forget to alert prospective employees about how toxic Allstate has become. They should take their talents elsewhere. Update LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.

Any information of which teams/departments are affected?

Imagine being the poor dopes who currently own an Allstate Exclusive Agency. Look, they are going to be unemployed just like us. And see their capital investment burn to the ground, if it hasn't already. The insurance market in the US changed seismically. And Allstate was one of the companies who simply could not adapt, nor adapt fast enough. Meanwhile Tom Wilson's day job has become corporate real estate...selling off Allstate properties to developers as means to generate cash flow to appease the Board.

So in my meeting with manager and the Bobs that is impromptly scheduled for this afternoon, here is what I'm going to say...." I already told you: I deal with the g** damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the h*** is wrong with you people?

Only way Allstate (and its non mutual competitors survive) is to automate, automate, automate and to constantly chase the cheapest labor sources possible. We don't have to like it, but its how publicly traded insurance carriers must operate to survive.

Cheaper labor in countries that need jobs badly are taking jobs away from skilled labor in all the countries Allstate sought to provide jobs in initially. This company is hypocritical in the way they handle business. It’s all about left wing ideals, but boy oh boy do they run to the cheap red states to get out of paying and caring for employees at decent levels. When that wasn’t enough try India and Ireland. When that got too expensive for them, they run to vendors in Mexico, the Philippines and South Africa. They speak out of both sides of their mouth and would give jobs to any one, no matter their beliefs or loyalty to the common good as long as they were cheap. Sickening bunch. Don’t fall for their baloney.

Happening in the U.S. as well. Not performance based.

Good luck to everyone affected. There are companies out there with a soul who will appreciate your skills and effort. You can watch this dumpster fire from afar. You're just a widget here at Allstate.

Best of luck to those who are going. There is work out there and former colleagues may be a good shout.

While it su-ks, at least it will allow those talented people to go where their talents will be appreciated, rather than being stuck in the skills-consuming black hole that has been ANI in the past few years.

I'm so glad I got out when I did a few years back.

A colleague of many years service was given her notice in ANI this morning.

She claims that the HR rep said, (in a bizarre attempt at humour by HR), that 'we all might be out of a job this time next year' with the way things are going with India.

The future does not look good for ANI, good luck to everyone.
