Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Las Colinas Office

Rumored it will be sold by Q4 2024. Who all plans to move to the Woodlands if you make the cut?

If youre in upstream engineering or regulatory, a majority of employees will either need to relocate to Midland or take severance.

PXD employees won’t have to move to Spring, your job has already been eliminated, you just haven’t bee officially told yet.

There are a lot of companies looking to relocate to DFW area and have a relatively quick move in to a large space, so it may not be too hard to find company to take over the lease. It will take some time for details to make it to you. That period of uncertainty is the worst, when these things go down.

Pioneer has a long term lease on the Hidden Ridge property. I don't believe they own. Can they sell their lease? Who knows

If closing is in the 2nd or 3rd quarter 2024, Pioneer will be out of the building by Jan. 1, 2025. It is prime real-estate that a large tenant could rent, or it will go multi tenants. Employees that are key to closing will be offered incentives to stay on until post closure. If like other acquisitions 5-8% of Pioneer folks will be offered positions in Exxon within Spring or Midland. If you are in the Environmental department there are some excellent positions in the DFW area, they will go fast..
