New wave of layoffs is coming. Most 2024 investments have been cut. Layoffs will follow, turbulences expected by year end and Q1 next year…
Any hRefinitiv long term employee is at risk, remember what happened to the WS product team recently, new joiners have immunity as most of them are part of the club e.g have been hired by new top management (DB), they don’t deliver, have not kicked off any growth projects, are f…..g useless but no one cares.
Glad to have left this mess recently. Good luck to employees who care and work efficiently.

Seeing as the ex-banksters and private-equity swindlers have all but run the UK- and US-based operation into the ground, any special consideration or privileged position that LSEG has in Britain should be rescinded. They are no longer a British company; let them try their luck in India.

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts, tis the season where management migrate to warmer climes to spread the good word, after that they leave behind a few holiday surprises.

I hear conversations all the time regarding cutting the headcount from all number of leaders in open plan offices… it’s like we are numbered cattle… Have some respect for the staff and do those conversations in a meeting room! Conversations concerning staff pay/location etc who do these people think they are…! It doesn’t matter if you are talking about people on the other side of the world it’s utterly disrespectful. These managers have no regard for people’s feelings, they have no empathy toward you and would stab you in the back if it helps them to hit a target on a spreadsheet so that they can achieve a top grade at year end to then get a disgusting eye watering bonus at the end of it. The place is just full of greedy greedy management kissing butt on an epic scale.

Remember that your own people leaders have assisted in this, whether indirectly or directly, they are responsible for offshoring everything and at the end of it they get a nice little golden handshake whilst the rest of us get dumped with the s h i t that is left fighting for scraps :-D To the people leaders in London, when you tell us we need to do ‘career profiles’ or to embrace ‘academies’ we laugh at you because we know it’s BS that is set up to make it seem like you are helping us. We just want the golden handshake like you do… we know your full of cr-p and only care about yourselves but understand that ‘your only doing your job’ pmsl :-D

There are no director roles being approved in London! No future in London for L….SEG. How ironic as they see themselves as a leader in London.

Same, I would say 99% of non-people leaders (in London specifically) are just waiting for a payoff whether that be Refinitiv heritage or LSEG heritage staff it doesn’t matter…. We have been, and continue to be, treated like rubbish and it’s to far gone for us to recover from this. There are people leaders out there who are only justifying their own careers in London by digging their heels in and desperately trying to convince their own people leaders (who are sometimes not even in the UK) that they need the staff in London - the fact is they mostly don’t. If you are reading this and feel let down/see no progress with your career then challenge your people leader to see what job opportunities there are within your area of the business because if you are in London the strategy is that there is no career path for you but most of us already know this! Hence why we’re just waiting for the payoff :-)

Cutting fat is an obvious target , lean meat is the next to go , thats always been the case

How much of this is “expensive” headcount, and how hard will the axe fall on all the engineers brought over on work visas? Last time I looked, there was virtually no fat to cut amongst the actual doers at LSEG…

Life after LSEG is beautiful. I actually had to detox for three months after leaving. Now I back to being human. Never realized how wrecked I was until I left and viewed LSEG I. The rearview mirror.

TCS is canceling all out of India visas and bringing all employees back to India who are working on LSEG accounts. All non India TCS contractors will not be renewed and let go by years end.

Every person I've met who has left has ended up a better person. They are more resilient and stronger and their bs detector is world class lol . It's helped re evaluate whats important and what they want out of life and hopefully not to make the same mistakes in the future - cheers to the leavers alumni.

L……………….…SEG is on a hiding to nothing.

I am so glad I got out of that dumpster fire of boomer greed and stupidity.

But so angry at myself for spending so many years of my working life in that place in various guises, working with and for such awful, useless people. Worked for so many people (“leaders”, cough cough) who I wouldn’t p*ss on if they were on fire.

LSEG is a graveyard. A place where dreams go to die. We strived to build lasting value — great products and businesses that once delighted our customers. So much potential, wasted. There is no value left. The asset-strippers took all the money. There is no future there — just a handful of City spivs trying to milk the last drops of rancid milk out of a dead cow.

I hope whatever comes after, turns out better.
