This HP to Verifone smells fishy. FB wouldn’t just let him leave for a Clover competitor. My guess is Fiserv will acquire Verifone in a few years.
FB enforces non-compete agreements. Just google Mark Ernst and FIS. FB threatened legal action when Ernst joined their board.
Could be he got tired of waiting or it could be he’s smart enough to get off the sinking ship. We’ll know if it’s the latter if others follow.
