Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

ANI Layoffs 2.0

With the re-org and new operating model nearing completiom we should expect mass layoffs to follow. There's managers pushed back to engineer / dev roles I've seen already with some people let go last week. The Digital product manager training is being ran over the next month for higher band workers, some on these bands have not even been offered the training leaving their job security uncertain. The writing is on the wall for many business areas who have been cut thin. For some staff members it may not even be a redundancy but an offer to a lesser job which will make them quit instead.

From the last round I heard it was all members of staff that had a 2 in their year end last year. Rumours are no one is safe this time. I hope you all start looking now because this software factory sh-t will be the end of ANI as we know it over the next few years even if you're safe this time.

That makes sense. Every sentence that comes out of my CSL’s mouth contains PDS. Sadly, my mid year was BTE.

Ani as we know it has been over for quite some time and it’s only going to go downhill from here. Never in my 25+ years in the local industry have I seen a more demotivated workforce and this extends right up to higher levels of management. The lack transparency around job cuts is fuelling this massively. I know first hand that many of those who were let go recently did not have low performance scores. Anyone thinking that if they can get through this period unaffected then things will begin to improve is mistaken. What we are witnessing here is terminal decline. By the time they realise that TG / software factory / etc is a failure, it will be too late. All the good people will be gone and ANIs reputation will be in tatters.

This software factory s**t won't just be the end of ANI. Good, competent young workers don't want to come and be part of big pipeline to push work through. But the crusty old strap hangers who get big bonus checks for delivering to fake milestones somehow know better than the market what customers want and need.
