So how many foreign contractors are there?
50k more to cut.
Not all jobs should be saved. Especially the ones where it’s super easy work and salaries are $100k+
If you are not making $100k+, then you need to find another career. Even garbage me make 100k nowadays!
I'm a technician that was thinking of leaving by the end of this year, but if T really needs to get rid of employees, perhaps they'll off bargained for employees a VTP at some point in time! You just never know with this company!
Re: If T doesn’t get to 125K by EOY, it is all over
L5/VPs want to backfill with employees so their world can appear larger when really much of the work can be outsourced for less than internal costs. Sad but true. It’s administrative work that doesn’t need major technical training. It’s the right thing to do for the business but L3s & above will be forced to spin that internal backfill is needed.
Will SVPs in Dallas believe the 4s & 5s presenting this? If so, more overpaid jobs for skill sets similar companies are paying for at a fraction of our costs.

The real story is contractor bloat. If you just filter out non-USA contractors and employees, you get this count:
145K USA contractors
138K USA employees
We literally have more contractors in the USA than employees. I wonder what the T-Mobile ratio is like.
And they are putting out emails asking us to refer new TDP's to get hired at a salary of 70k to 130k. Its just rotations. Old out, new in.
T-Mobile has 71,000 workers.
Some US employees are employees of prior AT&T international long distance. But the idea is right. How many contractors are in the back fill.
I need to go to 90,000 employees. AT&T is so bloated with employees doing absolutely nothing
Compared to 9/5:
651 fewer employees.
Backfilling with contractors after surplus
If T doesn’t get to 125K by EOY, it is all over.
Is it possible to know how many US based employees there are?
