Any information on how RTO is being handled for all the work from home sales and service reps in Mobility and their managers scattered all over the country? I'm in Retail and wondering if I should transfer.

The att mobility purple contract has wfh positions as well as business call centers where we still have to come into the office. A lot of consumer mobility call center work is now wfh.
Yup. RTO to India or Mexico.
“This is true. Allowing employees to work from home removes a very powerful tool frequently used to reduce headcount: Job relocation.”
This!!! This is exactly how they get reps to take a buyout. It’s called follow the work. That fastest and easiest way to reduce and eventually get rid of call centers. I wish it wasn’t true, but unfortunately this is more than likely the reason.
No where to run to baby, no where to hide.
RTO Manila
the company does not want anyone working from home so take your chances if you want.

No guarantees anywhere these day
These positions will eventually be done away with and shipped overseas. Union will be offered a different position that will require a relo which will result in most taking the severance and mgmt will be surplussed bau. the company does not want anyone working from home so take your chances if you want.
Some of the call centers have closed and those employees are now full time work from home.
