Check LinkedIn. KC had a lot of layoffs
Nobody seems to care that the focus of the layoff was an older demographic of experts who had a significant amount of knowledge on how to run a telecommunications network.
she should be asking the hard questions
how were employees chosen not all are duplicity roles
did the outside firm they hired use workday to pick people? by profiles the employees themselves are able to update and lie on?
the number of layoffs tmobile has done since the merger
this is not the first one being one every almost 6 months
they already did in June of this year, it was in the news about the call centers
I'd love to chat, but need to finish reading my severence paperwork and see if we are allowed to talk to the media.
My KC consumer team was hit bad.
I have a lot to say about their "Accommodation" process for those with disabilities as well.
Now knowing the reporter's background, I wouldn't say anything good or bad. And most of what I'd have to share is bad.
Know who your talking to...

It might not be true for you, but SOME remote workers teams ARE being asked/given the option to relocate closer. Again, no idea what the criteria is for that since each team, scope and org are different. But the brunt of this is WFH is being pushed out.
I know that but the a reply below made it seem like ALL were given that option all I was saying is it wasn’t all the remote employees
Go away Fake News journalist!!
While you're at it, you should investigate the Callie Field broom closet story.
"This is not true, remote people I know in our office in Kansas City have been let go with no choice to relocate or resign."

They should know this because the Warn notice has been filled for Kansas and I saw it in another Kansas article. I think the number is around 45 from tmobile for the state. WA is 401 for the state and was in the news there. Again using the Warn notice for WA for that number
though remote people/teams are being asked to relocate (or resign) to the HQs.

It's difficult to give numbers since it's org by org and not (totally) location based layoffs--though remote people/teams are being asked to relocate (or resign) to the HQs.
I'd wait until after next week or until the end of the month for proper figures because Marketing and HR (and iirc Legal?) still hasn't had their cuts yet and supposedly* 20% - 40% of Marketing will be impacted. There's a big chunk of Marketing people in OP with lots of T-Studio people based there.
Love this, get the journalists telling the trust. Not our Chief Bullsh-ter, Sievert.
