LCO and FRC need more Senior Global Diversity and Inclusion Leaders!
Longmont's ESG game is thuper duper strong, you guys.
Funny in this post I saw “modern” and “hard drive” in the same sentence. Kind of made me chuckle just a bit. All technologies will have major pivot points and it looks like we are quickly approaching one for traditional spinning HDD’s. Sadly our leadership was unwilling to commit to other revenue sources. Alea iacta est
The TCO folks successfully staged enterprise products for several decades. LCO successfully staged desktop programs for a few decades. God only knows the half dead brain cells that went into the decision to create this virtual drive center that wound up being mostly driven by who had political power. Great work messing with two functional drive centers and winding up with only 1/2 a drive center!
TCO had the better product development and process. Everything was just better organised.
LCO came up because the FW VP was situated there and the effort to merge the 2 sites' practices/processes didn't go very well, favoring LCO mostly even when it was clearly inferior.
SSDC was process-less for a long time. Many still have trouble following process flow now due to diehard habits. Their main advantages was quick and cheap due to currency and govt subsidy.
This lco vs. other sites beef reminds me of the old school east coast vs. west coast rap beef. Of course, we all know west coast had the better rappers. FRC in the house. If someone responds far east coast … that’s a drop the rap mic moment.
I am not sure about backbone..but it’s definitely a place for arrogant and high headed people.
I thought Pune was the backbone because that is where we get all our employees who eventually move to Longmont
LCO has great talent..they are the ones that invented chatgpt..
They r currently working on quantum computing and high performance super computers.
TCO pretty much invented the modern hard drive and was the top world class HDD design center in the world for decades. TCO developed and produced all the top performance enterprise products for those decades and usually first to market. Then came along todays mgmt. who said F it, let’s wipe it out. The end. Next they looked around and said F it, let’s wipe out LCO. It’s ongoing.
I'm sure all the good folks who worked at TCO enterprise, starting from the Imprimis days, would take issue with the "backbone" of the company applied to LCO. But since TCO has been almost gutted to nothing, I guess LCO can try to claim it now. Unfortunately we could really use all that lost TCO talent right now with the first HAMR product.
LOL🤣🤣🤣
where arrogance lives
too funny
Backbone of Longmont real estate as well., for buying multi million homes
I appreciate you highly. Now keep that dividend up for me
