I know people like to yell at everybody else that it's not over yet, but I think we're now at the point where the majority of the planned 5k cuts have been done. There'll be a few more smaller rounds, I'm sure of it, but the majority of it should be over. At least that's IMHO.

I heard that they were trying to speed up this process due to how sh---y this is all going..
Finance is next week. My team is entirely demoralized. I’m just wrapping up a project upcoming Tuesday, and don’t know what my new project will be on Wednesday. Management isn’t making assignments yet, because they don’t even know if they will still be with our team, or even employed.
I wish, but likely not true. Marketing, Comms (Janice), HR I think all going on the 28th.
Finance on the 14th
Not sure who has the 21st slot? Anyone know?
Those are sizeable organizations.
Finance and HR still haven’t cut either.
Marketing including HSI teams will be after the 12th due to the iphone launch....
What difference does it make? They’re still cutting. A person getting the axe doesn’t care if it was a small cut or a big cut.
HR & Marketing haven’t gone yet
as below, marketing will be sizeable. won't be announced for another week and a half or so.
It's never "one and done" in Corporate America. Human nature is to continually increase one's span of control by empire building (i.e., hiring more employees).
Then, every so often, when things are getting bumpy with the economy or a company's profits decline, the CEO will whack down the headcount to bring things in line with industry employee ratios and market realities.
Today, however, most large companies use waves of continuous layoffs to trim non performers, departments that are not meeting expectations, problem employees, etc.
Marketing still hasn't had their cuts yet. That will probably be the brunt of the layoffs
