Wondering how severance worked out?? Is it one week for every year of service or two weeks for every year of service

Salaried
Kept on payroll for 2 months including benefits
After 2 months they pay for 2 months of COBRA
Then comes the lump payment:
2 weeks for every year of service up to 26 weeks
Employees with 20 years or more get 1% for every year ( example: 23 years +23%)
Annual bonus prorated.
Your stock grants that were to be vested to you in Feb are vested after your last official day on the payroll.
The only way someone's "buddy" negotiated something better was if they were a director. Sr. Managers and below get the set package.
"Don't take these folks at their word. My buddy was able to negotiate something much better"
Your "buddy " worked for T-Mobile? What was he able to negotiate? Be specific.
2 months + 1 month for each year of service
That sounds like a pretty decent severance package to tide you over til you find a new position.
Unfortunately though it's depressing how that top line amount boils down after taxes and any deduction (e.g., final 401k and health care account contributions).
Depends on if you are hourly or salary.
It depends on if your hourly or salary.
Salary is 2 months plus 2 weeks for every year of service.
Not sure how much hourly gets if 1 or 2 months, plus a week for ever year of service.
Go to T Nation and look up severance. If you were already let go, it's in your severance paperwork.
negotiate with what leverage? makes no sense
Don't take these folks at their word. My buddy was able to negotiate something much better
2 weeks for every year up to 26 weeks including what they give you for your position.
This is the 1000th time this has been posted. Search severance on T-Nation. It's all spelled out there.
What a d-mb question to ask. Go and check T-Nation.
