HR isn't necessarily attending the meetings. In my org, it was a 1:1 meeting with the person being let go and the director. I was in consumer group under Dara.

Cut 2 weeks ago, and I got a 1:1 meeting invite with my manager. I thought it was for a mid-year sync, but nope... had no clue this was coming.
Sorry to hear, got the same invite too. Not sure how many people are being let go in my org, but my 1:1 meeting isn't until very late morning, makes me want to use the time I still have access to pack up my cube.
20% of FOPS so far. 35% of SWOPS so far, and there's the rest of the month! Not sure about RF or managers. So much for that 7% Sievert said!

HR does not need to be on the email for the meeting with your manager. But they know when and where it is and will attend especially if it a large team that has to be notified all together. That's the way they do it at my company.

This the TSD&O org?
This is the title of mine last week. My whole department got it. Was hopeful thinking that maybe they were letting us know of updates in the hierarchy due to layoffs going up. I was wrong. We were all cut.
Now that doesn't mean anything bc the same happened with another department. 2 people had a different meeting from the rest of their team same title. The 2 were saved, while others weren't. So there is that chance.
