Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

H1B jobs always get saved, why? Cause they don't want to be seen as bad by media

H1B jobs will always get saved. Why? Cause if you layoff H1B workers and the media get a hold of the news, the company will look bad because H1Bs will have to either find another job that will support H1B visa within 90 days or have to sell everything, take their kids out of school and leave the country. This doesn't look good for the company, so their jobs always get saved and they also get paid equivalent or higher salary then you do due to the prevailing wages rule where the company has to pay the wages of a specific job based on what the surrounding townships in that location pay for a similar job. Do some research and you will find out a lot of info online.

Because there is grant money fed to a company to use H1B employees. Look up incentives a company gets for hiring H1B. Lots of money funneled in from gov.

Stop whining and improve your skillset to match an H1B employee.

For a start, get a college degree. 95% H1Bs have a Masters degree.
